Perhaps. A matter of opinion.
That comment on the PM was not directed at you, by the way; and the receipt is merely a forum tool to return whether or not a sent PM has been received (or possibly read).

Let us not forget the accomplishments of Gauss by the age of sixteen, or of the Chudnovsky brothers.

I don't currently have a book in my hand. The last book I read was a Discworld book several days ago; I'm searching for my copy of Thud! at the moment, as I seem to have lost it.
Do you disagree with anything that I said?

Or, for that matter, the ends justifying the means (a highly debatable point).

Taxation is a theft like any other. There is no mandate for forced charity.

Your impossible praise of altruism speaks mountains of you, but what says even more is your desire, or lack thereof, to force us all to become altruistic

The altruist is a fool, the socialist is an evil fool.

Which jobs would these be, Squire?

You know, I've been hearing that bleeding heart record all my life and not one apologist for mass immigration has given any [shall we say, "legitimate"] examples.

Building work is common, I find - each time I have seen builders there have been several immigrants in the team.

I am not an apologist for mass immigration. I merely argue that immigration is not by necessity bad.

Taxation is not theft - it is a forced exchange at worst. In return for being forced to give the State money, you are given goods and services in return - the NHS, an army to defend you from foreign invasion, a transport infrastructure, benefits system, and so on.

You may argue that you do not use these services - but they are still there for your use, regardless of whether you take advantage of that or not.

My praise of altruism is based on morality. Your view of reality is despicable - would you really do nothing to help another person? Are you really that selfish?

It is theft. Your "forced exchange" is no different to a mafia debt collector, charging extortionate prices for useless and self-perpetuating services.

You know little of morality, less of reality. Altruism is the antithesis of success, and true success benefits all more then petty sacrifice.
Indeed, I largely subscribe to objectivism, the only morality grounded in reality; and the only one that allows for the freedoms you seek to steal.
In reality, you are either selfish or enslaved. Improvement of the self is the greatest cause for any man, I do not buy into religion and sacrifice.

No offense, but your lack of philosophical understanding beyond emotional reflex shines through.

As it happens I have done plenty to help others, it is often in my personal interest. I cannot be happy without doing so and desiring happiness is another productive aspect of the underrated virtue that is selfishness.
