This forum has taught me that over the years. I think it is about time we started calling a spade a spade. The left are authortarian fascists, who believe in stealing. Yet they have bent peoples minds into thinking it is the right who are to be feared. Sadly it is made easy by associating the right with warmongering, racism and turning a blind eye to large corporations abusing their power, just as large governments do. We need a government that shuns all of these things and replaces it with policy based on freedom of the individual, democracy where it is needed and small, accountable and principles.

Hi Yorkshireman - my story is pretty much the same and good to see that other posts on this particular thread have been positive. Joined UKIP in 2006 but can't help feeling that they just aren't going anywhere. Their website changes at a rate undetectable even to a Gatso camera on speed, and they seem to be beset by almost as much sleaze, albeit at a much less serious level, as NuLab during one of its more virtuous periods. But what are the alternatives to a one party state that has the combined support of 80% of the electorate? The EngDems? The BNP? The former couldn't command enough support to run a Parish Council, the latter might have popular appeal but will only flourish whilst in opposition, just like their oppos the LibDems. To be honest, I think we are a bit like a sailing boat in the wake of the Titanic - our only hope is icebergs ahead. All we can hope for is that all anti-EU factions will bury their differences, join ranks and force a referendum before the Lisbon Treaty is ratified, possibly less than 2 months from now - after which it will be too late.

2007 was in a way a year of hell for UKIP so i say lets do what we can in 2008 and wake as many people up as possible to the dangers they face from the EU monster.

Area's that could UKIP get points for 2008?.
Fully support Ron Paul for president of the USA. Help out with the Irish referemdum campaign by helping the people to wake up and vote NO. Stir up the anti EU feeling more then ever.. Attack Political correctness where ever it lefts its ugly little head and the people in the country that support Political correctness. And just basicly campaign on whatever the people up and down the country want and like even if it doesnt always get us in the news it will show the people that we are supporting what they want and not what the our evil govenment want.

Fully support Ron Paul for president of the USA. quote] Maybe it is my own bias on this issue, but I can't help feeling UKIP are missing a trick here. Aligning the party to Ron Paul, just as the old parties do to the neocon slags that tell them what to do would be a masterstroke. Instantly UKIP would get accross it's small government, National Libertarian side by doing this (that's exactly what Ron Paul is). There are a lot of people in this country, especially younger people, looking for this kind of party. They don't know UKIP could be that party. Here we have an almighty bandwagon that is ripe for UKIP to jump on, yet it looks like we aren't going to bother as usual. Then our MEPs did go and meet Project for a New American Century a while back. Maybe we are being conned.

I agree. Ron Paul should be President. If I were a Yank I would happily give him my vote, shame we don't have anyone like him over here.
