Thank you to those of you who responded to my introduction. No offence to you John Carter, but Dis-United Kingdom is exactly what I intended to say.On the front of my rather nasty new passport(renewed 9 months early to avoid price rise, biometric eye scans etc),it says United Kingdom Of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which unfortunately it is patently not any more. This is due to the EU plan of regionalisation, slavishly enforced by Blair et al.(Divide and conquer)The Scottish Parliament,Welsh Assembly and Northern Ireland assembly are all part of the EU plan to destroy The UK as an independant country.
As for the name "fatang",it owes nothing to the Goons unfortunately, but everything to my heartless daughter.I used to be treasurer of a now defunct am-dram group and to help raise funds,I ran a snackbar on rehearsal nights. Then I had recently given up smoking and piled the pounds on.As my name is Angus,my daughter christened the snackbar fatang's and the name stuck.

I ,like countless other British people, have seen my rights (and responsibilities)diminished and eradicated, especially in the last ten years. If you have read Orwell's "Animal Farm" or "1984"or "Fahranheit 451"(I can't remember the author's name),you will know where I'm coming from.
I hate political correctness, love commonsense and believe in the maxim,"When in Rome,do as the Romans do." This means that if you want to move to and live in this great country, then learn the laungage, learn the rules, respect the way of life of the majority indigenous population and we will let you live your life free from interference, respect your religion and let you be your own person.
There's me in a nutshell.Oh by the way I was born in Scotland, moved to England when I was 10.I have a Welsh wife and a daughter who was born in Brighton so that just about makes me Mr United Kingdom.I am proud to be British and I dislike people who try to run my country down for what happened in the past ie The British Empire, the slave trade, various wars,in general the past. That was then, this is now.The past is history.Hopefully we have learned from it;if not we are doomed to repeat it!
Quite agreeable Welcome!!

P.s. It was Ray Bradbury who wrote Fahrenheit 451 by the way

Speaking of slavery, i saw a documentary the other day saying that Africans were the first slave masters then the Dutch adopted it and made it global. So why should british people appologise for it now. sorry a bit off topic here,
