Can you please explain to me what you are actually accusing me of?
I do not have a website called Euroscep so it is totally wrong for you to imply that I am some kind of trouble maker without having no actual proof whatsoever.
Like I have previously stated this is the first political forum that I have been on and furthermore I ain't what you could call Computer literate in anyway.
I have only made three posts on this forum and already I have been branded a trouble maker by yourself.
I think I have answered my own question in regards to trouble makers on this forum as you are probably one of them especially when you post total fabrications without solid proof.
If the Moderators on this forum are unsure of me then they can PM or email me in regards to this matter.
And I thought this was a forum that promotes DEMOCRACY!

Thank you........I just wish that I had not answered the question now!
It would be easy for me to leave the forum after this false accusation but that might come across to some members as him being right in what he posted.
So I will stay and leave it at that even though I really did not want this kind of confrontation when all I was trying to do was to introduce myself to the other forum members.

When did I ever even remotely represent myself as such Lord McKee? You really are quite a git aren't you? I would never assume pretension to such a 'dignified office.' Obviously I could never hope to live up to Anthony's impossibly high standards for staffing this site

And of course the staff must hold all the 'correct' views. Which of course, I most certainly do not.
I think as long as Staff is permitted to insult the membership, yet issue warnings to members for 'perceived' insults -as I have often seen. The appeal of this site shall remain quite limited indeed.

I look forward to your reporting this post, because the ensuing debate shall be quite illuminating.

Don't be ridiculous. I was responding to Euroscep's post. He thought you might be a moderator. I was informing him that you are not.

As for me being a "git" - well, I may be but I don't see how I can have offended you. As far as I am aware, I've never done anything to offend you and if you have taken offence at something I have written, then I apologise.

As for correct views, what would they be?
I hold different views to some of the other moderators. We're not clones, you know.

With regards to "staff" insulting members, if you see such, please report it.

I have no intention of reporting the post. I actually have never reported any posts.

I think this rather innocuous, though admittedly obscure statement was somehow misinterpreted by Euroscep as being something other than a cheeky blurb, -and from there this thing began to snowball.

BDF forum is several years old. I simply recognised an ironic coincidence that someone had registered with the user name Euroscep, which is the designation of the primary administrative account on my server, and also the name of several of my websites- though Euroscep Forum has been re-established as CDA Forums.
No direct accusation or indictment was intended.


As for you Alex. How could I receive: "Brendan Scarborough is far from being a moderator " as intending anything other than a sarcastic and depreciative cheap shot?
If you had simply said: "Brendan Scarborough is not a moderator". That would have been acceptable though still unjustified. But the qualifying remark -far from- was demonstrably provocative

Alex, Perhaps you did not deserve to have me jump on your back as I did, as you are probably one of the lesser offenders among the staff when it comes to member abuse. And I cheerfully retract my 'git' comment.

When I refer to member abuse, I mean the habit of certain Mods who like to respond to the posts of Conservative members by casting about such insulting aspersions as: Nazi, racist, and bigot. Though some of us take a hard line on such contentious issues as immigration; we do not, however, deserve to have such implications made of our character no matter how cleverly disguised, subtle, or indirect they may be. Perhaps I have grown overly defensive.

I have no serious argument with you.

Hi Brendan,

It was not meant in a sarcastic manner. It was merely meant to disassociate you from the moderators.

As you may be aware, your style of writing is that of the "authoritative voice" which may lead people to assume you have some position of authority here.

Perhaps the tone of my message can be interpreted as hostile, in which case I apologise - it was merely fired off in a few seconds and could have been better worded.

Oh and I never said I'd never issued a warning, I said I'd never reported a post.
