Default Hello and hi from Crac.

I'm English from north and south, mostly Celt i think.
And proud to be.
I think its a great priveledge to be born English.
I'm fairly well educated and i've been around a bit. My personal politics are really that politics is not the solution to anything.
I'm much more interested in the philosophy of life and i think that if people had a real natural philosophy then they wouldn't want to pollute, lie and cheat and destroy everything.
But if we have to have politics and government, then i'm dead against the kind of government thats going to destroy the things i believe in.
I'm particularly interested in the meaning behind words and ideas, where those ideas came from, what is the historical basis for the ideas and concepts in our language.
My opinion or solution to everything would be something like, ' If you understand the right and true foundation and basis of things, (why they work, why they are like that, where they came from, whats most important)', then you won't go far wrong and everything will come right.

Cheers.

Default I'm not that kind of intellectual.

That the very thing i least wanted anyone to say or think of me.

Such cleverness the English display.

Assume away by all means, i will not defend against assumtions which should not be made.

Perhaps you would like make derogatory, assumptions about my parents or i don't know???

Apologies, but I wasn't even assuming you were Irish.

I was hoping to draw out why you are 'from north and south'

Welcome. Good to see another member here.
So, specifically, in which part of England were you born?

Apologies for being an oversensitive newbie.

Basically refers to parents, one from the north and one from down in the south west.

I think it's a great thing to have this forum, which i just discovered, because i've been wondering how to get some access to political debate since coming back to England.

I had been away for nearly 7 years teaching overseas and when i got back i didn't recognise the culture even and could not relate to most of it.

I like to be straight, i prefer to be straight, we are all human after all but if you feel that your country is losing out then it's a different issue, there will always be too many people and too many needs, so you have to strike a sensible balance.

This multicultural nonsense has really twisted and biased our culture in a very bad way so that people are kinder and more willing to help if you are not from this country and if you listen to it in public places it sounds like a lot of sucking up going on and quite honestly it's daft.
