Default new fogey

Hi. I've just joined the forum, having dipped in to read up on UKIP issues over the last half year or so. I joined UKIP early last year after attending a public meeting at which Petrina spoke very stirringly about the EU and our loss of sovereignty - the fact that we could reverse it if we could get out in time (I paraphrase). I was already deeply eurosceptic, but she really put across the urgency of doing something about it. I was very sorry when Petrina resigned the Chairmanship, and unimpressed by UKIP's performance since then.

I'm very pleased to learn from this forum that she is standing for the Leadership, and I'll be thinking hard about whether I should renew my membership after all. I read elsewhere that she's viewed as "county". Well, maybe it's my age, but I like people who behave properly and speak well!

Sorry to come across as an old fogey, but it looks like there's a wide spectrum of people and views in this forum, so I hope you'll let me join in!

Default phpbb_

I've been trying hard to work out what phpbb_ might mean, but I've failed. Please enlighten me! Thanks.

Good question. Two answers:-

PHPBB stands for PHP Bulletin Board. In other words, the software that runs the forum.

Alternately, you could be asking about phpbb_ which has started to crop up in parts of posts - I don't know why this is, it seems to be a certain combination of letters which generates that script.

Yes, that was what I wondered about - so people haven't entered that intentionally in their posts? Can't it be fixed? (Asks humbly, being ignorant of such complexities).

It doesn't usually happen. It's an error.

Cheers,

Alex

It is my fault. It occured during the transfer to the new server. Only old posts contain this error.
