Maybe you shouldnt have an open forum if you dont want BNP or anyone else posting on here?

No doubt the most extreme postings on Stormfront are from members of those other organisations you mention. However, there are a vast number of postings there which definitely are by BNP supporters (eg Odin's Eye, Mercian Valkyrie and Brentwood Racist) and which, while they might not seem extreme to you, definitely would still strike most people as pretty deranged. Maybe you guys just hang out with the outright Nazis so that they'll make you look good by comparison, but you certainly all seem at home there.

Like you, I don't claim to have all the answers - in fact I'm not certain I have ANY of them - but I am certain that the BNP is a dishonest, neo-fascist party which has won its modest successes by stirring up hatred.

We do find extremists in UKIP from time to time - and when we do, we sling them out!

I won't accuse everyone in the BNP of being a Hitler worshipper, but your party has certainly contained more than its fair share of Hitler worshippers (John Tyndall etc etc) and more than its fair share of violent racist thugs - and that's just among the leadership! Even those of you who can write in complete sentences, refrain from goosestepping around singing that the future belongs to you, and don't have very short hair nearly always come across as racists and authoritarians.

I think the UKIP guys here have shown admirable tolerance by letting so many BNP supporters post here. They do this despite the fact that a lot of people sympathetic to UKIP would be turned off by so much BNP presence. If you're not a BNP member you can't even read the posts at the BNP forum.

To be fair to the Nazis, at least they have an official forum. UKIP don't.

As for them being allowed here, some days I question it in my own mind, but I always come back to letting people decide for themselves.

We have to have some rules, to keep the whole forum being hijacked and ruined for everyone, but that will always be a constant battle to get right.

Some observation I will make is there are some reaonable BNP posters, but the majority seem to be out to cause mischeive. More so than any other party members. The good news is it become very obvious, very quickly who those people are.

Also, while UKIP can rightly be accused of being obsessed with the EU, the same can be said of the BNP and race issues. That is a sign of people feeling passionate for their cause, but not being able to talk about anything but your big issue is a bad sign IMHO.

I want Tollerant, but not a pushover written on my pot of ash when I leave this planet.

Any casual visitor will see that there are nearly as many BNP posters as UKIP posters and unless they have the time and motivation to look carefully at the threads they will see UKIP as guilty by association. I understand the intention that this is an open and independent forum, but the reality is that it is not frequented by other parties and will not be seen as having nothing to do with UKIP.
If this is not an issue to UKIP and its posters to this board, then ok, but if it is then I think (personally) some consideration needs to go INTO phpbb_it. Whatever the principles, reallity can't be avoided, so don't moan about being branded a racist party if you're not prepared to get out of the way of the branding iron :!:

I agree with this. We get the odd Tory, the odd Fib Dem, but the BNP troll army seems to have latched onto us more than any other party.

Suggestions on how we readdress that balance, without being authortarian tossers about it please.

To me it is obvious. You look around any thread and you find Nazi-traps crammed full of them. However, people driving by don't see this. They just see a bunch of Viking wannabes clogging the place up.

How do we make it more clear that the fact they are here, is becasue we try to tollerate, rather than wanting them here.
