Hi
My name is Phat Boy Fat. Well, actually it isn't, I mean at my christening the vicar did not say "I Christen this child Phat Boy Fat" did he? I have lived in sunny Bournemouth since 1999, and contrary to popular belief it is quite a hip swinging place, Daddyo! I didn't meet many senile blue rinsed old dodderers here, well not untill I joined UKIP .I have never posted on any Forum or Blogg before, so I appologise in advance if this ends up in the wrong thread or my very existence violates some sacred law of Blogging. I have been a UKIP member since 2001, and a fat lot of good it has done me and my country. In fact I was recently so thoroughly ****** off at UKIP's miserably amateurish general election performance and childishly embarrassing campaign literature that I let my membership lapse. (I mean for God's sake who is drawing those cartoons? Worse, who is letting them be published as official UKIP literature? Can't we force their arms back INTO phpbb_their strait jackets and have our resident UKIP psychiatrist give them a nice big shot of lovely soothing Thorazine?) How do you think I felt handing out literature like that in public? ops: I now understand that a lot of UKIPers feel the same. But wait! There is hope! From what I read in this Forum a lot of people are waking up (or have woken up) to the fact that UKIP will go precisely nowhere as an 'Ickle Wickle Tory Cult'. I just hope that some in the senior echelons of the party are waking up to that fact too. There! That feels better now I have got that off my chest! I hope I haven't gone on too much for a first / introductory posting or raised issues that should more properly be raised in different threads. |

Welcome.
You sound like a wag! I agree about the handing out of literature, it was a struggle and if I am ever asked to do the same again, I will be saying no.

Well it was certainly a struggle handing out literature as appallingly amateurish as UKIP produced. I would hand out literature again in a general election, but not tripe like that! There is a limit as to how much I am prepared to embarass myself. Our candidate who faced Oliver Letwin in Dorset West (?) had the best UKIP literature I saw in the campaign, it did not patronise the public.
