Exactly what I said at the time in a letter to David Lott.

I was told to trust them, they knew what they were doing.

I did that and actually had the pleasure of having someone spit in my face, others call me the BNP and rip leaflets up infront of me.

It was all worth it when I lost my deposit (that I paid for) and saw membership go freeze, now going down.

It was a disasterous campaign.

David Lott should soon be our 11th MEP, if Ashley Mote is convicted.

(as regards general election leaflets)

I am sorry to hear about mkpdavies very unpleasant experience. I'm sure mkp did not deserve that. I think the Tired Old Three do try and cofuse and conflate us with the BNP, NF etc and as I'm sure you know you hardly ever hear the word UKIP on TV/radio without the E word being used, you know the word - "extremist." I wish I had an easy answer.

Although last nights (monday 03 Oct 2005) BBC2 programme on attitudes to the EU did not mention UKIP anyone who advocated withdrawral from the EU was portrayed as 'A Little Islander' and sneered at. Am I the only one who thought the whole programme was rigged to show a massive pro EU bias. I'm starting to think the whole BBC is staffed by a bunch of pro EU Euro-Federalist Menscheviks
My point is there are enough people out there happy to ridicule and slander UKIP, we should not be helping them!

You are quite right, the Beeb is very pro EU, which is understandable really, they are partly funded by EU money.

ops: BIG mistake on my last posting. UKIP was mentioned several times in Monday's 'How Euro Are You'. Being a BBC programme UKIP was obviously refered to in sneering terms, and a small ripple of tittering went through the  entirely objective  audience whenever UKIP was mentioned.
I made the mistake because I taped the programme, and came back only to see the second half, only watching the full prog next day. I suppose I should check my facts before posting. ops:

No, I don't have a history, other than as a common or garden UKIP member, now lapsed, but probably about to rejoin, I've never served in any official UKIP capacity.

My gamekeeper is on strike, he's gone all militant, probably been brainwashed by that old Trotskyist Percentage.

Do tell, I always thought the Beeb got their $$ from the tax payer in the form of TV Tax, OOPS! I meant TV license. Never knew they got $$ from the Euro Reich.
