I think the answer to "Which Party is the Way Forward" can be decided by first defining what you think is the way forward and then finding out which party supports that..

If you think the E.U. and our membership of it is a very good thing then the way forward would be to support the Liberal Democrats.

Or the Conservatives ... or Labour.

However, if you think the E.U. and our membership of it is a not-good thing then you have two choices: BNP or UKIP.

Examination of the history of the key figures of these parties may help you decide.

If you have no views re the EU one way or the other then ask in which manner any party elected INTO phpbb_government has fulfilled its election pledges.

(If you find such an instance, please let me know?)

UKIP has yet to be in government and is beginning with a clean sheet.
So far its spokesmen have given clean, straight talk - with no floss an' gloss from spin doctors.

If you haven't done so alreadty - watch UKIP's Party Politcal Broadcast here.

(You won't find this on the UKIP official website for some reason)

Hope that is of some use ...

Welcome to the forum . Which way is forward exactly ?

I don't consider being ruled by corrupt unelected politicos in Brussels they way forward to anything ! (Well, forward to some sort of repressive Euro Soviet possibly)

Once again, welcome, I hope you enjoy the forum.

I agree alex, this thread was dead 8 months ago lol. Did UKIP think twice before deciding to stand in European Elections?

Yes. The party was bitterly divided up til '99 about whether to stand in them or not. It's still an issue of debate sometimes.

In '04, there wasn't really much argument: we'd gained 3 MEPs in '99, and we could only do better!
