I am a retired scientist/engineer living in Bicester, Oxfordshire and have been an active supporter of the Democravy Movement for several years..
My wife and I are very concerned at the path our Country is taking. It seems to us there is a vast conspiracy to trap Britain INTO phpbb_a tyrannical, non-democratic dictatorship, the European Union, which is just a re-run of the completely dis-credited Soviet Union.
The most disturbing aspect is the fact that our own leaders, from Edward Heath onwards, and including the Queen, have all betrayed their Country by giving away our sovereignty which was not theirs to give away.
Though I am British, I have lived about 25 years in North America. I am deeply in awe of the truly inspired USA Constitution having lived under it and seen how well it works. Life is extremely good for the vast majority of North Americans. If only the EU had seen fit to copy the American Constitution I would have supported it.
If Britain needs to be part of a bigger group I would much prefer we join with EFTA, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, even become the 51st State!!

I often ask Europhiles why the USE and not the USA. The answer they come back with is normaly that the USA is evil, too powerful and needs reigning in.

The fact they want to create something like the USA only less democratic, and more deitful, makes me wonder what planet they are from.

Britain should stay in charge of itself! We can cooperate and team up when it is necessary, via the various global organisations that exist. Joining either of the superblocks will end in tears for all.
