Exorcist, dear chaps.

A couple of points which you may have overlooked:

1. Under the new constitution, the E.U. will cease to become a group of member nations. The E.U. will become a single country in its own right.
The U.K. will be less to the E.U. than a county is to Westminster.

Do you support this?

2. U.K. law is already subservient to E.U. law. Our courts are already not upholding U.K. laws and are deferring to E.U. laws. The people of the U.K. permit our own M.P.s to form a government and make the laws under which we are governed. We have NOT given the governmnt the right to surrender this power to ny other agency. Indeed, the last war was fought so we are able to retain our right to govern ourselves.

Are you happy with this?

3. Since Germany joined the E.U. its unemployment has risen to its highest leverl in over seventy years. France has already passed the 10% barrier ...

Does this suggest anything to you?

4. A couple of years ago UKIP folks were being trashed and labeled "Racist" while Blair was saying immigration is not a problem. Today he is ranting on about his immigration policies which may be wonderful for all I know - they are usless and he knows this. As does Howard. October 2004 Blunkett surrendered our veto on immigration. Our immigration policy is now dictated by the E.U.. In effect, we have now no control over our borders. Other folks, outside the U.K. dictate these things - and we never even elected 'em!

This is okay, do you think?

5. There are those who claim we can effect change frim within - we have been 'within' for freakin' years - why have we, therefore, no say on fishing policies and agricultural policies?

6. Download a more in-depth analysis here and then state a case for our membership of the E.U. if you can.

Independence Now! is just starting out

I am sorry to sound so negative as this is my first post but mpkdavies's reply to the questions of our Liberal Democrat friend are one reason why I think UKIP aren't going to become a significant force in British politics.

I always thought that the main aim of UKIP was to secure our nation's independence from the EU so that we become an independent nation once again but here we have a UKIP member suggesting that (although not his own personal opinion) we could join the USA as its 51st state instead of remaining in the EU. I'm sorry but I think that would be just as bad, if not in some ways worse and, of course, it would be a complete betrayal of the party's supposed main aim.

When UKIP members themselves are unsure about what constitutes British independence is it really surprising that many ordinary voters think that UKIP are a shambolic and hopelessly amateurish party which couldn't form a competant government even if it were given the chance to do so?

Where is UKIP's comprehensive policy programme backed with a coherent political philosophy?

Hold up a second! Please do not get me wrong, I don't want to be part of any superblock. I was just trying to get out of the Lib Dems why THEY are only considering the one option of the EU, if they are so hellbent on joining such a block.

I want exactly what UKIP wants. A free independent UK, trading freely with the world, but not politicaly answerable to anyone!

Hell, I really want to make that clear now! I hope I'm not given anyone else the impression that I want any kind of superblock for the U.K.

Due to be amended in many areas when the election is announced, but it all still holds true in the main. Come back with any problems you have with it.
