Default A quick hello

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm James a student at Sheffield University. Have recently started looking at UKIP because I am a getting tired of the 'big 3' getting us nowhere fast on important issues. Essentially, I need you people to convince me that UKIP is the way forward!!

That really has to be your own choice. There is little glory and plenty of strife from being an active UKIP supporter. However, if you believe that Britain can and should be better than the traditional three are offering, then you really don't have much of a decision to make!

Well it's up to you Jimmy.

Do you want accountable polititians who we can vote in and out, to keep running the show. Or would you be happy to outsource the job to the EU, where unelected cronies like Peter Mandelson will drive their own agena through with impunity. The fact Britain is already being overuled on things of importance such as immigration, fishing rights and law is just a taste of the EU delights to come.

If you are happy to become a piece of property, owned by the EU, then the mainstream will do that for you.

Otherwise you have UKIP as the biggest, best known party that stands for liberty of it's people, and keeping politics and decision making as local as possible to the people. Indeed putting the trust back in people to run their own affairs.

Or there are various other parties that may become something one day. If you like Mr Kiroy Silk and think his sparkling personality and media savvy will propel his party, whatever he decides to call it onto amazing victory, then perhaps they are the ones for you. Many people in Bolton will certainly endorse this option!

mkpdavies recommends UKIP, but as the man Butcher says, it's up to you!

Default Hello everyone!

I am a UKIP Member since 2003 and am very concerned with the lack of Direction to the rank and file by the upper echelon. I have ideas to promote our image and also to expand our Branch Membership but feel that the lack of zeal and zest from the Party and especialy from the Election Campaign crew is almost zero. I know that we should have made a significant statement by now if we are to make a huge impression in the upcoming General Election as I know we can. I feel very strongly that we should be bombarding the masses of "UNDECIDED, CHAIRBOUND VOTERS" with info on such things as "IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION FOR EU EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES", and the fact that" 43 Scottish MPs voted for topup fees for our students", knowing full well that these fees would not apply to Scottish students. These are only a couple of things that we need to enlighten the"UNDECIDED VOTERS" on. My research notes discovered many many more. In short, UKIP, telling the People the TRUTH, and inviting the so called Big three Parties to debate and/or refute these truths, if we tell the TRUTH to the People, what can the Big three possibly say to refute our statements on such subjects? I will answer that question myself, NOTHING! We need to start building this snowball right now, because we still have the time. LET'S GIVE IT A GO, AND DO IT,NOW!

I wrote a couple of letters to the local paper, attacking the EU and" Big Three Parties".Formats usually consist of 2 to 3 points of EU stupidity that is costing us all dearly and supported by the Big Three. Next phase of informing prospective voters will concentrate on UKIP being the Fourth Party, and the Party dedicated to "Keeping the Electorate in the picture" on selected EU Con Tricks, both past and present. There are thousands of potential UKIP Voters out there just waiting for more information and I intend to see to it that they have the same info as I have. A point to note about my Branch is,in the local elections last year, although we did very, very well,we would have WON 5 seats had we got 279 more votes.Unfortunately we won no seats. So, I am motivated right up to the hilt.Nothing can stop me from doing what I consider my duty by informing the Patriots out there.......So,was anyone else busy on promoting UKIP?

Apologies for being somewhat aggressive.
I'm still feeling the vibes from a meeting in which folks raised many ideas and suggestions but expected other to do the work.

Like the couple who agreed that we need to get some more serious leafletting done. I suggested they take away a boxful (1,500 to a box) and they thought that was a little too much to expect and took away 300 between 'em to be delivered by the next month's meeting. Hell, I delivered more'n 300 in a couple of hours this morning.

>sigh< Just canna get good help these days.

Well, I am on nightshifts this weekend. I have been carrying out my internet campaign as much as I can, but on my days off I distribute Biscuitmans pensions leaflet. Our branch has requested thousands of leaflets, but HQ are running out as fast as they print them, so we will have to wait for those.

I will be attending the Surrey Heath AGM, where Petrina Holdsworth will be saying a few Words on Tuesday. All the normal committee metting etc in Feb and I will find out if I am a PPC for Woking on 24th at the AGM.

When I find out where/If I am standing it will help me focus my efforts. I have also put myself down for the County Concil elections, and got 2 others to stand as candidates too. I have managed to get 3 people to join up as new members this month.

Money is the biggest issue for UKIP, so I have started up a standing order to my local branch, and have been setting aside funds for an election campaign. If every member could scrabble together 500 quid, the cost of a cheap TV, to save this country, imagine how much difference that would make!

Always comes down to cash doesn't it?
If our office syndicate wins the lottery there'd be billboards all over town.
