Default Ideas for my election campaign

Hallo all,
I have only just found this site and think that it is excellent. I am the Vice Chairman of UKIP Bournemouth West (www.westbournemouthukip.com)
and the parlimantery candidate for my branch. I have to take on Sir John Butterfill in the next election. All ideas on how to win would be appreciated.

Welcome!

Looking at

http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/mp.php?...urnemouth+West

He is clearly a Conservative career lacky. He always votes with the party line or doesn't bother voting at all. He didn't rebel on Iraq, or ID cards!

I would point out these key points to everyone you talk to, who thinks voting for this Tory robot is good for Britain.

Welcome to the forum Michael.

For tackling the Tories, ID cards is a big issue.

Liam Fox tried to put them INTO phpbb_the middle ground by suggesting that the Tories would "review" their support if the cards became mandatory for everyone (which of course they will), but this is just the same kind of deception as with their EU policies. Don't let them get away with it!

Pensions is another great one - perhaps the single biggest domestic issue at the moment. They can't afford to finance any increases because they won't withdraw from the EU and they won't increase taxes.

Sir John Butterfill lists his work on pensions as being one of his greatest achievements. What exact benefit anyone has actually derived from this, no one knows.

To me he is the exact kind of Tory that is ripe for being beaten. He votes with his career in mind, is pro-EU and has done nothing to better the people in his constituency, or indeed Britains lives.

He's an anonymous career drone and Bournmouth deserves better. Point out to all the Tory voters that

a) He wants us to hand over ot the EU all control of our nation.
b) He wants us all to fork out for a nanny state ID card that will not improve our lives in any way.
c) He was happy for us to go bombing Iraq on Tony Blairs says so.

He isn't Conservative, he is an advocate of big state keeping control of it's plebs.

He is part of the Conservative Friends of Israel group

http://www.cfoi.co.uk/

Quite why there needs to be specific friends of Israel group I have no idea. I guess it's the same sort of thing as Labours friends of Palestine.

A good article on pensions, that has a dig at butterfill and shows him to be the self-serving, ivory tower merchant that he is!

Letter to the Bournemouth Echo from steven@hamilton23.fsnet.co.uk )

Gambling with financial security.
I attended a residents' association meeting on Saturday 23 October at the
Ocean View Hotel, Grove Road, East Cliff, where Sir John Butterfill
commented upon the government's Gambling/Casino Bill.
I consider Sir John's comments that there is no reason to be concerned about
the government's bill to be a gross distortion of the truth.
Local residents as well as the public up and down the country are concerned
about the easing of the rules - which in effect let the weaker willed be
opened up to further entrapment from credit card companies and banks alike
INTO phpbb_running up debts which they can ill afford then to repay.
Sir John, in fact backed Tony Blair and the government's proposed bill.
Yet local residents have expressed their concerns.
So do the local community's views register at all with our local MP? It
seems not.

Comment: Mr Hamilton has made serious allegations against this MP in
accompanying correspondence. We do not see that he is any worse than any
other MP - especially Labour MPs with money to burn and money to launder and
we are not prepared to malign even MPs without a view of the evidence.
Sounds like a chat with Mr Hamilton may be in order! May be nothing, but the fact he supported the Casinos is interesting.
