Hi. I'm a friend of Intbel's who's introduced me to this forum. I am many things, some of 'em good, one of 'em the grand-daughter of Labour pioneers. Nothing in my formidable and freedom-loving lefty, independent, argumentative, stubborn heritage relates to the horror that has come upon us, or in other words New Labour. Look forward to talking to you.

There are some interesting folks here, mostly of average or above average intelligence. Gen'rally they tend to be amicable and open warfare is a non-event. The mods don't interfere none - unless someone posts something which gives 'em indigestion. I'd give you a run-down on who is who (whom is whom?) but rather think you'd prefer to have the pleasure of making your own journey of discovery. No points systems operate here - no pedant points, brownie points or needlepoints. Winkle-pickers are permitted. I think. One thing everyone here has in common is a less than 100% approval of Tony Blair. Or Michael Howard or anyone else come to that though one or two believe Robert Kilroy-Silk is proof of the second coming. Mind you, those folks are not necessarily included in the second sentence, above. Not permitted to talk about RKS except in the War Zone unless his personage crops up in in the normal way of things. But these are not normal time ... anyway - no slurry outside the War Zone. Welcoming hugs, dear heart - go for it and yes - difficile est saturam non scribere ![]() |

We have mentioned the Liberal Party a few times, but I don't think that they are much of a force anymore. They have some councillors, but I think that they are more of a "local" organisation than a national party.
UKIP and the Lib Dems share a number of goals related to freedom and personal liberty; we just disagree fundamentally on how that should be achieved. |

Isn't it interesting that, while NL appears sure it has the next election in the bag, Bleah is detested right across the political spectrum. Surely a pincer movement can squeeze him out. One of the heartening things I see on the Net is an understanding that there are essentials that underpin everything and it is these with which Bleah is tampering - these as in the article cited below on which the Islamist-Leftist axis is spitting - and we can worry about second-order issues later. It is difficult to understand how he can win the next election, unless he knows something we don't. He could use the Bush model of course ... an airliner flying INTO phpbb_the millenium dome would be preferable to one flying INTO phpbb_the Post Office tower though. Omigawd - just an association of ideas type of thingy ... think of Tower Bridge. Our most famous twin towers since Diana Dors ...

well..... I think NL probably will win the next term too but I can feel times have changed in the last few years. I hope that planes dont fly INTO phpbb_the dome after we all paid so much for it..... how about INTO phpbb_the houses of parliament.... could be a blessing in disguise 8)
