Default Hello, I'm a new member

Just a few lines to introduce myself. I started going to my local UKIP meetings a few weeks ago and liked what I heard. As soon as possible after Christmas I shall be joining the party. I look forward to communicating with like minded people.

Welcome aboard! There are quite a few new members joining recently I hear! With the improving election results, and the latest poll standings it seems like something is waking the Brits up to what is happening!

Do you mind if I ask what helped you decide to join now?

Welcome Viv. Don't let the ongoing leadership issue put you off. UKIP will be a force to be reckoned with at the next election- but we need to wake Britain up to what is happening to this country under Blairite rule.

I don't mind telling you at all. I do not want to be ruled by Europe, I want us out of there as soon as possible. Like everyone else I am sick and tired of the Blairite government and cannot wait for the election, when I can cast my vote.

Don't wish to pry, but what caused the realisation? Was it one particular thing or a long rumbling dissatisfaction that has finally come to a head?

Regarding 'like everyone else' - do you feel you are similar to other voters in your area/family/friends - so are they starting to think the same way too?

It was a long rumbling dissatisfaction. I have never voted labour in my life. I have always voted conservative. However, I feel I have been let down by them, they have not taken advantage of the feeling of dissatisfaction in the country. UKIP is like a breath of fresh air in wanting to come out of Europe.

I found out from my next door neighbours whilst talking "over the garden wall" that we were of the same opinion and decided to go along to a UKIP meeting. As I said before, I shall be joining the party the next time I go to a meeting which will be next month.

Welcome Viv,

The most important point to get across viv is that none of us are Career politicians.

We are just ordinary people who our passionate about the issues of the day and are passionate about the road El Presidente Blair wants to lead us down.

Now that Mr Howard has conceded to ID Cards and all our kids have a government bank account people are waking up to the realities of George Orwell’s writings.

I too am new, both to this forum and the UKIP. Right now, I guess I'm the newest member of both since I joined UKIP about 15 minutes ago and this forum just before I posted this.

I've been sympathetic for some time, voted UKIP in the last 2 Euro elections and in the last General Election. The last straw was Howards support for ID cards and the UKIP's decision to join the anti-ID card campaign.

Welcome Nic, good to see we are attracting sensible people who think like me!

The establish parties have become fat and corrupt! If we don't do something about it, they will hand over fully to the EU and we will be subject to even worse!

It's time we all did something about it!
