Hi
I support many of UKIP's policies However unlike UKIP (official policy) I believe in an English Parliament. This could either be as a Federal UK or and Independent England. After all do the people who live in England really want to give £30 Billion to Scotland each and every year ! |

Please keep the dosh coming, there is a £450 million pound parliament building to be paid for here. Best described as resembling an Albanian swimming pool.
Perhaps the Geordies will get one even dearer than that. Independence issues will surley be for the component parts of the UK to decided in an independent UK? |

Once we get an English Parliament then obviously the Barnett Formula will end.
Thus saving the English Tax Payer £30 Billion per year. I guess the Scots should have thought about that before they voted for there Scottlish Parliament. There will not be a North East Assembly, as the NO Campaign is now too far ahead. This will quash (Welsh) John Prescotts idea of chopping up England, and the only devolution route for England will be an English Parliament. |

The Welsh are not behind the plans to cut England up. The EU is the culprit here again. They are using divide and conquer tactics to try and lesson the resistance to a full on surrender to the EU.
With all due respect, the EDP are concentrating on the annoying wasp, while ignoring the great big, rabid, hungry, mad bear. UKIP are concentrating on the bear, the wasp can wait! EDP members should feel proud of England. I certainly do, even though I have a Welsh second name. Don't you think you should help us fight the bears first though?

I see no reason why both issues can't be dealt with at the same time.
The English Democrats, have had high level discussions with UKIP over support of an English Parliament. UKIP like all the other parties Conservatives, Liberal, Labour, BNP, Greens - think that things are just fine the way they are. Sorry, but there is an 'establishment' campaign to remove the English Identity. John Prescott has already stated that 'English Nationality does not exist' Charles Kennedy stated - The Regions call INTO phpbb_question Englishness itself' Keep Britain Tidy Campaingn has Keep Wales Tidy Keep Scotland Beautiful Tidy Northern Ireland but no mention of England - The Government describe Britain as the Nations and Regions of Britain The Nations being Scotland & Wales the Regions being simply the Regional Names Look at the Euro Counts web site - no metion of England. Wake up UKIP unless you are happy to see Englands disappear - lets face it your support in Scotland and Wales is minimal - even Jo Collins said that she supported UKIP becuase she is happy to be English - what a nonsense when UKIP is a Unionist Party. England represents 80% of the UK population, I would suggest that the 'wasps' are Scotland and Wales - the Bear is England ! |

Roger Knapman, on the Politics Show this morning, suggested that UKIP policy was to keep the status quo.
I would support an English Parliament; it is easy enough to implement. If we stopped the Scottish, Welsh and Irish MPs voting on purely English matters, it would be a very easy compromise, and without any extra expenditure. |

Whilst I am a UKIP member and am aware of the leaderships position on this matter i do think some consideration should be given to the concept of an English Parliament, the status quo as it stands is difficult to justify at times and I do not feel the policy of English votes on English Laws has much merit.

What is an English Democrat
Hmm - in the same way what is a UKIP ? =========================================== The English Democrats was originally called the English National Party, however this was abandoned as a name due to the fact that English Nationalism is associated with racism, in the same way that UKIP decided to call themselves United Kingdom Independence Party rather then British Independence Party. ============================================ We define English in the same way that Scottish National Party desribe Scottish, ie English is nothing to do with the Gene pool or Anglo-Saxon Birth, it is purely someone who lives in England, who could be of any race. This could mean that an English Democrat is White, Black, Green, Yellow or Orange with purple spots. ============================================== English Democrats, passionately feel that the oldest country in the World should have its own Parliament, for the people of England to decide on what goes on our England, as the Scottish People do in Scotland and the Welsh People do in Wales. English Democrats also believe that the 'English State' should only sponsor English Culture, it is quite frankly crazy that Ken Livingstone is able to donate £100,000 to celebrate St Patricks Day, yet Zero to St Georges Day celebrations. It is also crazy that it is easire for a publican to get an extended licence to celebrate, American Independence Day, the Chinese New Year, or St Patricks Day then it is St Georges Day. If individuals want to put their own money INTO phpbb_arranging celebrations of other cultures, then that's fine, but why should the state encourage the dilution of our national identity. =========================================== We have been programmed to believe that we should all enjoy living in a multi-cultural society, - can we have a vote on that one! - I would prefer to live in a mono-cultural society, and if I wish to see other cultures then this is what I do on holiday ! Living in mono-cultural society, has nothing to do with Race - Black, Green, Yellow, Purple people can all wish to celebrate the culture of England - as many people from different races have done so for many years. Hopefully that answers your question. English Democrat = Supporter for Democracy in England |
