Hello , I'm Harlan , a disgruntled , dismayed resident of the fast disapearing UK , who views the main political parties with withering contempt .
I have some hope from the increase in independent parties , especially UKIP , but I despair at the futility of campaigning within the hopelessly outdated localised general election system of " 1st past the post " .

Of course , soon it won't make any difference because our national elections will become utterly irrelevant as the EU takes dull control.

I fear that all opposition to the EU is futile and our only hope lies in it's self destruction , but I still feel compelled to rail against the inevitable - guess I must be mad .
