Default Blue pill project update.

A while back I said how I was going to see if taking the blue pill, would help numb my anger a bit.

I purchased a nice big T.V, home theater system and a Playstation 3.

I joined ILOVEFILM and ordered numerous Blu-Ray Movies. Apocalypto was very good I have to say.

However, there is one thing that has REALLY impressed me about my new sheeple set up.

Grand Theft Auto 4.

Oh my God. Has everyone seen this game? It is insane. You can walk around a city, doing almost what the hell you want. You can get in a car, mow down a few hundred pedestrians, then when the police arrive, take them on with grenades and all sorts. The explosions are too real, the car chases are amazing and they all act like real little people. Some police actually leg it when you start lobbing the grenades about. others cower and others take you on, guns blazing, while hurling abuse at you.

They call the City "Liberty City", but it is based very much on New York. It even has a Statue of Happiness (liberty).

I am not surprised that some people want the game banned, but I'd just like to point out, that even though it was run driving around shooting people and nicking their money, it doesn't make me want to go and do it for real.

Has this numbed my anger a bit? No not really, but at least it takes my mind off of it from time to time.

A visit to a farm was recently recommended as the most effective way to reduce stress.

Many farms in Woking?

I lived near farms for years when I was in Wellingborough. Seeing some stinky animals in a muddy field never did float my boat.

However, blowing the **** out of some fake police, somehow makes me feel calm. I just imagine they are traffic cops and the righteous justification just sweeps me up.

They do. Kind of.

They get the treatment too.

Same, minus the new TV and home theatre system.

I have also been watching more films recently. 1 a night. Good for destressing.

I take it that you recommend it, then. I loved Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for similar reasons. I was unsure about buying GTA:4 because I tried San Andreas and it failed to live up to GTA: Vice City.

I skipped San An. I only played a bit of Vice City. I have never played a game like this one though. It is amazing.

The amount of work that must have gone into it is immense.

The story is even good. They could easily make a good film out of this.

Try the game "Postal 2". Very relaxing.
It's like GTA, but much more violent and with a very anti-PC sense of humour. It's got everything: cops, state troopers, SWAT, innocent bystanders, gay clubs, anthrax, hanging chads in the voting booth, VD, foreign-owned corner shops, hillbillies, a book repository, a WACO-style compound... ...and Gary Coleman!
Banned in NZ, I believe.

Real-time strategy games are good for destressing.
Slaughter on a large scale if you like that sort of thing, otherwise just a way of honing the mind. Like chess, although grander in scale and also less romantic.
