There are a great many in Hong Kong with Hong Kong Chinese passports and nationality.

In addition anyone who has legally resided in Honkers for over seven years can then apply for KK / Chinese nationality and this will normally be approved

The requirements laid down in Articles Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China are as follows:

Foreign nationals or stateless persons who are willing to abide by China's Constitution and laws and who meet one or more of the following conditions may be naturalised upon approval of their applications:

(1) they are near relatives of Chinese nationals;
(2) they have settled in China
(3) they have other legitimate reasons.
