Default Mugabe wants a recount.

The Associated Press: Mugabe's Party Demands Zimbabwe Recount

Following his hummilation at the hands of the voters last week, the evil dictator buys time by calling for a recount when the result has not yet been declared.

50m dollars in Zimbabwe is less than a quid here, life expectancy is the worst in the world, death at my age (37) or younger is common. Unemployment runs at arround 75%. Police accompanied people into the polling booths and have prevented opposition members from entering the high court to request the results are published.

Meanwhile world leaders gathered in Britian yesterday and did not even formally discuss the matter at their summitt. A summitt I will remember for the disgracefull silence form President Mbeki of South Africa, not for the first time he could have played a role in bringing Mugabes murderous reign of terror to a close and he has stayed silent.

The one world leader who has spoken bluntly on Zimbabwe and Mugabe was John howard and sadly he lost the Australian elections last year to Kevin Rudd and the Labour Party.

John Howard rightly likened Mugabe to Hitler, the summitt was all the poorer for his absence and quite frankly those present behaved like the weak kneened asses that they they are.

Why can't he just **** off and die? Isn't he satisfied with the damage he's already done?

Yes, it is a pity Mr. Howard is no longer Australian Prime Minister. People will soon be wanting him back:

"Mugabe wants a recount" is the title of this thread.

What Mugabe wants is the sack.

The jolly get together led by Mbeki wasted time, money and effort.
Mbeki is about as forceful as a cat's fart and his continuing support for the paranoid clown Mugabe does nothing to help the citizens of Zimbabwe.
A wasted weekend issuing platitudes and stupid statements, ie:"There is no crisis in Zimbabwe" reinforces my view that Zimbabweans cannot expect or rely on any help from other African countries.

Hilary Benn-International Development Secretary-remains silent, the boy Milliband-Foreign Secretary-mumbles away in his corner and G.Brown Esq.?
He's busy saving his job and looking for photo opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Chinese are busy signing up contracts for Zimbabwe's mineral wealth, which includes platinum, gold and diamonds.
Mugabe has turned Zimbabwe from bread basket to basket case-and Western politicians wring their hands in mock anguish.

Of all the things that Mugabe is stupid isn’t one of them.

My guess is that he has realised that he can’t win by the ballot box and so in the best traditions of “if you can’t win the game being played, change the game being played to one you CAN win” he’s hoping that the MDC supporters will go on the rampage.

That way his thugs can crack skulls, and claim they were just protecting democracy from terrorists.

It is the labor party and Howard was slime, his work choices were tyrannous. It is because he is not in power that he can make such comments. He is not actually a world leader anyone, he lost the election in a landslide and his own seat and his party wish he'd left a few years ago.

Rudd showed alot more balls by attacking China's behaviour due to its importance and its trading links with Australia.

That said Mugabe needs to go.
