Throwing Donkey's froma tower is a Spanish tradition like Bullfighting which is loaded on the side of the "fighters." I see no reason why we should pretend that Spaniards or Costa Ricans are civilised with just a few errant individuals. These things can only take place within a supportive climate. This is all nonsense about some individuals being bad but the whole being alright.
We are declining in this way and in allowing Halal meat to thrive we are being dragged back to savagery from civilisation by our worthless rulers.

Even though people will use this argument in favour of certain socialist crime ridden countries today, they would never ever give an inch on, the old American South or the old South Africa and Rhodesia. Or on the British Empire. All were 100% bad. Why the heart rending understanding when it comes to the lands of Che the Guava, or am I (not) missing something?

I don't really know what you are talking about. I think the South should of freed its slaves but also have been able to secede. There were pluses in the others you mention but the minuses far outweigh them.

The really good thing is I'm not gunning for you.

I'm just going to defend something for the same reasons David is because there are some things that are little stage plays of bigger performances and if left to go unnoticed cause politicians and gangsters and other lowlife to think that people "out there" don't really care. We do. And as all animals and large numbers of people cannot speak for themselves we are speaking for them by supporting those who hate abuse and are willing to do something about ending it.

Yes, please tell us because I can't get BBC2. There is hunting for meat and to make traditional Boer "biltong" (American jerky) and there is trophy hunting - two completely different aspects of hunting. How were these treated?

It was trophy hunting Frith and you know the kind of hideous people are involved in that kind of thing, you'll understand why I didn't watch it. Still, will be interested to hear what Tanny has to say about it.

I won't say what I think of this, yet. I hate the fact that it is going on here and we can't stop it. Bows and arrows, bleeding victims dragging themselves through the bush, a-holes who can't shoot making a mess of the shot and the quarry fleeing in agony only to die a while further on and be found and finished off by a proper hunter. I've heard some fly in, have their choice animal shot, stand over its corpse for a photo, then hand the body over to a taxidermist to send on to America or Germany and the culprit flies home. Quite staggering. There is a lot of money in it, that is why it persists. Sometimes it's the only way to keep other things going. We know someone who was asked to go along on an elephant cull. Now there's something to traumatise you for life.
