The 1975 referendum result 'Yes' vote (delivered two years after we had joined the EEC/EU without even being asked) was only carried on a minority of the votes of the British people if one includes those on the electoral register who did not vote.

Exactly. We had voted on remaining in the Common Market. Sorry that's what I meant.

Aherne, Prime Minister of the Irish Republic, is partly responsible for the diminution of the sovereignty of his nation. Thank goodness he is going.
It is shameful how such great Nations are put into this position by traitors. I hope the Scottish chuck that tosser out and remain within the UK. All jokes aside I think Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the overseas territories are assets to the UK.

No need to apologise Steve - I heard an anti-EU person make the same point (that we voted to join the Common Market) on Talksport radio early this morning.

Default Salmond, Scottish First Minister, Scottish 'National', England, eurozone, EU

Salmond (Scottish First Minister and leader of the europhile Scottish 'National' Party) just wants to cause friction between Scotland and England.

At the moment he is doing well in the opinion polls - but that period of supposed popularity for him will end (sooner rather than later hopefully).

More needs to be done to inform the people of Scotland that the pro-EU Scottish so-called 'Nationalists' are just the political arm of the EU in Scotland who would (like the europhile Liberal 'Democrats') dissolve Scotland into the eurozone and EU Superstate.

Obviously British are much more intelligent because they aren't stupid enough to want to join the EU. We only voted for the Common Market ;-)
Maybe, maybe not...could all be a giant conspiracy....with the the ones who joined ultimately playing a united part in the downfall of the countries that haven't joined. For more information just talk to youcanhandlethetruth.
