Default Radio presenter predicts that John McCain will be the next President of the USA

Presenter John Gaunt said on his Talksport radio programme at 10.51 am on 15.2.2008 "It is so sixth form to criticise the President of the USA - you don't get to be President of the USA by being thick. It's so clear that John McCain (Republican Party) is going to be the next President of the USA - Obama (Democrat Party politician) hasn't got a chance. You lefties are worried about another Republican in the White House who will sort out Iraq and then go on and sort out Iran."

The commentator is quite thick despite facing the apparant reality. The Iraq war is not only a socio-political disaster for America's death toll and Iraq's turmoil due to sectarian violence but also a great economic disaster for America's debt-ridden deficit. The Washington imperialist's vision of a pro-US "democratic Iraq" and a stable, secure base for military intervention in Middleeast as well as access to the second largest regional oil reserve is already in shatters.

Fixing Iran?
Give us a break.

The Democrat Party (the party of Barack Obama) is pro-abortion and the growing number of Evangelical Protestant and Roman Catholic voters (who rightly and admirably oppose the horror that is abortion) in the USA are aware of this fact.

And they will be aware of this fact when they vote.

I agree, this will count against him, the pro life movement is much stronger and has more influence in the USA than here.

Yes - I hope that the pro-life movement in the UK will become as powerful as that which exists in the USA.

In some highly marginal UK Parliamentary constituencies I would suggest that the pro-life vote is already determining who wins the seat (i.e. anti-abortion voters are checking the stance of each candidate on this issue and are refusing to vote for any pro-abortion candidate).

Not that the UK pro-abortion lobby would want to admit that this is happening of course - for it is a trend which they fear will grow.

I will not vote for any Parliamentary candidate who is pro-abortion.

No nor will I, it is an issue I will tackle each candidate on.

If Ron Paul does not win the Republican nomination (and he won't) the Democrats will win.
Nobody could care less about McCain, Obama does have an energetic following. Shame he has no real policy.
I would say he is the least-worst though.
