Default Conservatives cut taxes right?

National Taxpayers Union just tallied up all the campaign promises made so far by the presidential candidates. It probably won't surprise Giuliani supporters, but their guy was one of only two candidates actually promising to CUT government spending, instead of increasing it. Here are the numbers:

Quote:
Mike Huckabee: increase spending by $54.2 billion
Mitt Romney: increase spending by $19.5 billion
John McCain: increase spending by $6.9 billion

Rudy Giuliani: cut spending by $1.4 billion
Ron Paul: cut spending by $150.1 billion

Now Gouliani is going to pull out, you have a choice.

More taxation or Ron Paul.

I predict they will go for more taxation, I would expect all the candidates will tell you that they can tax less via efficentcy savings as well as increase spending.

They can't cut spending else they'd risk the whole economy. What with it being built on federal loans which need servicing, etc..

Expect much pain and gnashing of teeth.

If they don't cut, they are just delaying the inevitable and then it will be worse.

It is like a toothache. Go to the dentist now and experience a lot of pain for a short while but gain a long term good. Don't go to the dentist and end up having serious dental problems.
