NOT comparing Ron Paul to George Wallace what so ever, but Wallace's American Independent Party managed to break through the two-party mould in the 1968 Presidential elections by winning 13.5 percent of the overal public vote and managed 46 electoral votes.
Would Ron Paul be better using his new found publicity to form his own moevemtn, or better to stay within the Republican party and its massive platform? |

The decks are stacked heavily against a 3rd party. Especially if the candiate ran on a Republicrat ticket before, as there are "sore loser" laws in a number of states, that stop that candidate running 3rd party.
