Cool Fred Thompson quits!

Former senator Fred Thompson has quit the Republican race.

A View from Middle England by Arden Forester: Thompson out of the White House race!

I know. I was looking at Google on this and came up with these headlines.

BBC NEWS | Americas | Thompson joins White House race
BBC NEWS | Americas | Thompson quits White House race

Rather sad, really, as they're one after the other!!

Teletext National News

His exit leaves John McCain, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee battling for the nomination.
Same at time of writing on page 312 on tv teletext. Somehow they overlooked one candidate who came 2nd in Nevada has 3x more delegates than Giuliani and only 2 less than the bloke they have just written an article about.

There is no co-ordinated agenda by the MSM, honestly.

Still good news that Thompson has gone. He wasn't raising any cash (a bit like Huckleberry hound) and had nothing different to the other warmongers to offer.

Default Mr. Fred Thompson, news bulletin, American, television

No news about Mr. Fred Thompson departing the Republican race on the television news bulletin I have just watched - nor on last night's American television news which I have also now seen.

One would hope that in light of the complete economic mayhem, people who in the past voted for Thompson and Hunter might be able to appreciate Ron Paul's message a little more and start voting for him instead than these other warhawk neocons.

Paul's also just won Louisiana, apparently. Have to wait until the states wake up to know for sure

I wish I could receive those channels, Arden. A relative of mine can get those channels and many more.

The American news I often watch is usually shown at 12.30 am on Sky Television news (weekdays). BBC News 24 Television also show an American news bulletin (from a different news provider than the one Sky Television use) on weekday nights just after the 1.30 am UK news (it actually starts at about 1.36 am).

It might also be possible, of course, to watch some American Television news bulletins over the internet.

Thanks for that, Britannist. I know those news programmes, although I can't get Sky News any more because of Virgin Media's squabble with the Murdoch empire!
