In the absence of any real support for the clown, it looks like a certain other candidates supporters have filled the void.

Never confuse the internet with "real life", love him or loathe him he has a serious support base, he's just not gone fishing on the internet, so it doesn't show much online, but then that's hardly surprising, because much of the demographics he's aiming for don't post at Myspace.

I think when the primaries start people will get quite a surprise, when the results of various candidates don't match up with various forums and Myspace gossip.

Not my experience in Seattle, they hate him there.

I'm going to Boston next week. I'll see what they think of him.

Well you are in Democrat land there, I'd hardly expect him to be popular in Seattle, any Republican doing well there would probably fail in the Republican heartlands, as they'd have to be very 'left' leaning.

I think it's going to be interesting.

I fear Hillary has more chance of winning than Benito though.

He was mayor of New York - a liberal heartland. Ron Paul will almost certainly win Oregon, which is also a liberal heartland. His support there trumps any other candidate.

I don't think that the the liberal-conservative distinction is not as strong in the USA as it is here.

Is there a link to Guiliani in drag smooching with Donald Trump?

Having lived in America for ten years I'd say the distinctions in America are far clearer than over here, the gulf between left and right is not as wide, but the lines in the middle are a lot more firmly delineated.

As for Oregon, Paul is polling 1% currently (Last poll I saw, Aug 10-15, 2007) and comes in 8th place, among Republicans.

He was getting that nationwide at that point.

Up to 5% nationwide now (according to the old school polls).

Bit more exponential growth like that and who knows!
