Default Serbia finally surrenders to EU globalists

Pro-EU party leads polls in knife-edge Serbia election... http://euobserver.com/24/23305

Quote:
"I hope very much [the vote] will produce a government that is pro-European, that supports the values we promote," EU top diplomat Javier Solana [The real Marxist Butcher of the Balkans. - H.] said Wednesday in a sign of all-but-open support for Tadic. "A...pro-European government in Belgrade could make rapid progress toward the EU," enlargement commissioner Olli Rehn said the same day.

The more blunt US diplomat Dan Fried said on Thursday "nationalism in that part of the world is like cheap alcohol. First it makes you drunk, then it makes you blind, then it kills you."

"[Yugoslavia] didn't die of natural causes; it was murdered by Milosevic [Actually, no, Mr. Fried. It was criminal anti-Christian bullies like yourself. - H.]...I'm sorry that happened, but the fact is it's done and we must move on."

[...]

"The election in Serbia is about Europe and the future," Kosovo's ethnic Albanian prime minister and ex-guerrilla fighter Agim Ceku said in the International Herald Tribune on Thursday. "Kosovo's final status will ensure that we seize this historic opportunity, pronounce Kosovo independent and begin a genuine regional push toward the EU."

Badly wrong.

Just like Pieman Prescotts Regional Assembly vote.

Spot a pattern anyone?

Anyone actually believe the polls on EU anymore? It isn't even close.

Unfortunately, the pro-EU parties still have a two-thirds majority. The Radicals have conceded that they would be unable to form a patriotic coalition.

I am assuming their info is accurate. The official results have not been announced in full at time of writing.

I would not count the Serbian Socialist Party as being pro-EU but would accept that they helped prop up the previous pro-EU government whilst not being a member of it. Their support dropped since last time but they will still have representatives in parliament. The party of Vuk Draskovic, a previously high profile figure & minister (I remember him being interviewed on Newsnight during the Nato aggression) failed to reach the 5% thresehold so going from 23 seats (over 9% of all parliament seats) to 0.

Cesid figures show the Serbian Radical Party increasing their vote share from 27.7% to 28.7% but actually having reduced representation in parliament (82 to 81). That would appear (to me, unless advised differently) to be explained by the new seats guaranteed for minorities who despite small popular support have gained 7 seats. From another site:
Quote:
3 seats going to Vojvodina Hungarians, 2 seats going to Sanzak Muslims and 1 seat each going to two different Roma parties.
I'm not certain how those seats have been gained but it looks like they have been gained by a pure Israeli style PR system. So to get 1 seat out of 250 you need 0.4%. The Vojvodina Hungarians got 1.2% & thus received 3 seats.

There are, I think, some lessons here for the UK in how not to proceed to a PR system for parliamentary elections.

The absolute heart of the issue.

U.N., EU troops to control Serbia's Kosovo (and then Serbia itself)... http://washingtontimes.com/upi/20070...2630-1739r.htm
