I always look at the amount of money UK political parties receive and then consider how much big corporations spend on advertising.

Considering who is in power should be VERY important to some business interests, the utter peanuts that political parties in the UK receives from them, makes me suspicious.

It makes me think that the big money players see "democracy" in the UK and the party system as an utter irrelevance, as that it isn't where any of the real decisions are made. It's a puppet show for the proles, with just enough money ploughed into the chief puppets to make sure it stays that way.
