Default Study: 655,000 Iraqis Died Due to War

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/10/10/D8KM6GL80.html

Quote:
A controversial new study contends nearly 655,000 Iraqis have died because of the war, suggesting a far higher death toll than other estimates.
The timing of the survey's release, just a few weeks before the U.S. congressional elections, led one expert to call it "politics."

In the new study, researchers attempt to calculate how many more Iraqis have died since March 2003 than one would expect without the war. Their conclusion, based on interviews of households and not a body count, is that about 600,000 died from violence, mostly gunfire. They also found a small increase in deaths from other causes like heart disease and cancer.

"Deaths are occurring in Iraq now at a rate more than three times that from before the invasion of March 2003," Dr. Gilbert Burnham, lead author of the study, said in a statement.
At this rate the Iraq problem will be solved. There won't be any Iraqi's left.

The LAB-DEMS need to bring this figure up at next weeks PM Questions. I doubt they will be able to do so though due to the big three all kipping in the same bed, each tugging away at the top sheet as they continually turn (roll) over.

Pack of undemocratic bustards if ever there was one,or three.

Still, revenge will be all the sweeter when our time comes,as it surely will.

They opposed putting the troops in without a UN mandate but are against pulling them out now.

Are you sure the L/Ds are against us pulling out because I am unaware of this stance by them?

655, 000 and rising daily thanks to the US-led invasion. It's beyond horrific.

The worst thing is that supporters of this war value Iraqi lives as nought.

One outcome of this is certain; Iraqis and Arabs in general will hate us for a long time to come, and God knows they have good reasons; 655, 000 of them.

Not one Iraqi life was worth shedding to gain cheap oil for America and lucrative contracts foir Bush's buddies, or to ensure Israel's illegal occupation of the West Bank, its continuing persecution of the Palestinians and bombing of its neighbours.

Bush needs to go, and go now, not in 2009.
