Interesting bit saying that suicide bombing isn't allowed under Islam! Nice to know that Islam is as divided as all other religions.

Talking of flying pigs, when I was in Israel a clever person bred pigs on platforms above the ground. Since they were not rummaging round on the ground this apparently got round certain rules and thereby allowed the pigs to be kosher. Don't know how true it was since I got it second hand in the bar of the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem! :wink:

It says suicide isn't allowed if the person is terminally ill or suffering in some other way (i.e. suicide would end his suffering). And that suicide bombing is actually acceptable as long as the bomber has received orders to do it rather than acted on his own.

That's one way of looking at it, but it's not how I interpreted it.

The person who gives the order has to be capable of doing so. It seems that the argument is that in the overwhelming majority of cases the act is wrong and the current round of suicide bombers act without authority.

Sometimes we have to give a little bit of credit to some Muslims for going against the flow of the extremists.

I still worry about the extremists, but all 1 billion Muslims are not about to blow themselves to kingdom come and the overwhelming majority have not responded to the calls for jihad. More 'Muslims' drink alcohol than blow themselves up in the name of Allah.

Whilst on the subject of pigs, there was not long ago the issue of a right-wing organization which was provideing pork soup to poor people in I think Belgium or France and they were stoped from doing so by the authorities on the basis they were discriminating against Jews and Muslims. Whatever about Muslims, the charge that they were discriminating against Jews is actually factually incorrect, in that Jews are allowed to eat Pork in an emergency so if a person was so poor he was starveing it would be perfectly okay for him or her to eat Pork and the organization giveing the pork soup to the Jewish person would be doing an action of charity and merit according to the Jewish religion.

So for argument sake, what happens say if you are person who belongs to the brand of Islam being advanced on this website, live in say Bradford [England ] and your nineteen year old daughter tells you she has recently married a Shia, is pregnant with her husband's child and hence forth she will be liveing with husband's [shia ] family in London [England ], worshiping in a shia mosque and bringing up her child and any future children she might have as shi'ites.

But presumably the French Police rounding up Jews and SCNCF French State railways carting them off to the Nazi deaths camps, before the Third Reich even got round to asking for them was, Okay?
