But then you sent off that mail to the Yank. Not a very British thing to do, and since the BBC is better by miles than any American broadcasting organisation, it seems somewhat unwarranted. Let the Yanks put their own house in order before they interfere ijn the affairs of other nations. It should keep them busy for the next 600 years or so, so much needs to be done over there. While they are doing that, the rest of us can get on with living in a decent and peaceful world. Sometimes I wonder if you are British at all or if your loyalties lie elsewhere... |

THE BBC does have a Responsibilty towards the Public as a Public
Funded Institution and as such they should give Coverage towards real like issues such as the ID Card Threat . If the Silent Majority woke up and must a stand and not just a brave few than the situation could be improved. |

I suppose you would regard the BBC as unbiased if it reported everything on the Middle east from a hardline pro-Israel perspective, ignoring the illegal settlements, the unacknowledged WMD, the attacks on Palestinians and so on. Thank God we have the BBC showing the real situation in Lebanon each day, so we are aware of israeli war crimes and atrocities. |

Context is everything; the arabs declared a jihad against the jews long before any of us was born and attack Israel whenever they think they can do some damage. Hamas and Hezbollah both have genocidal ambitions; both favour the destruction of Israel and the extermination of jews world-wide.
Israel withdrew from Gaza unilaterally and has been "rewarded" with 1000 Qassam rockets over the border and the abduction of Corporal Shalit. Israel withdrew from Lebanon in 2000 and has been "rewarded" with an array of 14000 rockets pointed into Israel and attacks over the border. The BBC mentions none of this, but focusses entirely on casualties among Hezbollah's human shields. Willingly or not, it acts as a propaganda organ for fascist terror gangs. |
