Chirac is a worm says best-selling UK daily newspaper
On a connected subject:
The Sun newspaper said in an editorial of 27.7.2006: "We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. French President Jacques Chirac is a contemptible worm. It was Chirac who torpedoed the United Nations resolution which might have prevented an Iraq war. Now - in typically slippery style he scoffs at the idea of NATO of which France only an associate member – from helping police a Middle East police fire.
Chirac says NATO is perceived by the Muslim world as the armed wing of the West. So what about NATO’s biggest and in many ways most formidable member – Turkey?
In his cynical approach there is proof of Chirac just pursuing French interests. This is proof of the old saying ‘What are friends for if they can’t let you down?”
