Certainly not. It is very plain that you know nothing of Christ's message.

Well, you are the first person I've run across who's actually said that and so you'll be the first person I'll say this to.

I wrestled with this for a long time. And the conclusion I came to is that we should help ourselves first before asking His help. And we should help our brother.

But I doubt that we'd ever actually entrust the fate of billions of people and their lives, belongings, freedom and etc. completely to the Lord unless we had no other alternative.

But how would you feel if we DID take that course of action and OBL & Co. swooped in and took over?

You were the one who dragged in religion and now you have your answer.

Christ does not comand us to 'help ourselves' nor does he command us to help arbitrarily selected 'brothers' at the expense of our other neighbours.

If you are a Christian and attended Holy Communion yesterday you will have heard Christ's great commandment.

Quote:
Matthew 22:

36: Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38: This is the first and great commandment.
39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40: On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Therefore you are commanded to love your Muslim neighbours, and enjoined not to continue your campaign of hatred and denigration against them.

There is nothing remotely Christian about your anti-Muslim crusade.

Sorry Mike, you're wrong.

You're assuming that Blondy hates muslims and is on an anti-muslim crusade.
Perhaps he's on an anti-islam campaign. Subtle but very important difference. Remember "hate the sin, love the sinner"?

Once again, I DO NOT HATE MUSLIMS as a group. I DO NOT DENIGRATE THEM as a group.

I merely expose what they do and why they do it. Anyone who believes this is hatred or denigration must want all non-Muslims to remain ignorant and unaware of the Muslim global expansion plan and the Koranic orders they follow to make Islam the dominant religion all over the world.

As for my Christianity, I am struggling against my human failings to become a better person. I'm trying to become the kind of person who is able to allow people whose religion teaches them to conquer and kill and impose their religion over all others, to have their way...and happily so.

In the mean time I will also practice feeling good about allowing robbers and thieves into my home such that they might take everything I have.

And I should be so loving and accommodating that when they come to ravage my girlfriend that I should simply smile docilely and leave the room so as not to disturb his pleasure.

And were someone to really desire my home, I will begin moving out today so that when the person or persons arrive and ask me to leave I will not inconvenience them one moment longer than necessary.

One day I hope to become a better person in this regard. All I can say is this remains my jihad.

Quote:
JIHAD is an Arabic word that means "striving in the way of God." This striving can take a number of forms, including the daily inner struggle to be a better person. However, jihad is often used to refer to an armed struggle fought in defense of Islam.

Thanks, John Carter!

I am gratified to see that while I was taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R to compose my post, you've quickly jumped in to make clear my point of view.

Your post is (as you blokes say), spot on!

Actually, come to think of it, Mikeuk's sentiments and strategy is an accurate reflection of the dynamic that Muslim expansionists and jihadists hope will exist.

Christians should hew to their religious beliefs so that when Muslims (who are doing the same thing) can take over.

Notice the way Mikeuk commands that I obey the Bible?

Spoken like a true leader!
