Default Blair urges United Nations reform

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/5020358.stm

Quote:
UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has called for the reform of the United Nations in a key foreign policy speech in the US.
He said the UN secretary general should be given greater powers to speed up the organisation's ability to react to international crises.

Other institutions such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund also needed to change, he added.
Not one mention of the word democracy, just more powers as always.

Of course it does need reform, but the fact he chose an American audience to deliver this to says it all to me.

**** kisser.

andypandy is just starting out
Default

So, more powers for international bodies, less powers for national bodies, sounds just about right for Bleurgh.

He's obviously after a job in America. If he ('Tony' Bliar) can't get the top UN job something else might come up. Then there's all those post-Downing Street lucrative lectures to give around the USA.

I saw him in America on the news an hour or so ago. Is it my television or is it American television pictures which do this - but every time Bliar is in the USA he always looks so orange. Perhaps they all go orange when their party has had enough of them. Look at Kilroy - it happened twice to him (Labour and UKIP) and he's as orange as they come  .
