The guy does sound a bit mad. Still if he wants to provoke the Yanks and Israel INTO phpbb_turning Iran INTO phpbb_a lake, he is going about it in the right way.

It's high time that the SAS were sent INTO phpbb_iran with a sniper rifle. The Iranian president would soon be shut up.

Too easy.

To truly ensure a compliant puppet is in place and to try out all your new miltary toys, nothing but a good old fashioned, countrywide slaughter is required.

I concur.

Indeed, I think Israel should be able to look after themselves anyway, seeing as we sold them a load of stuff to make nukes ages ago.

Its not that easy, if you take the Iranian President out, there will be another madman put in his place. It is not possible in any way to put in a compliant puppet in Iran. What will/should happen will be air strikes on all the nuclear bases.

Jerusalem: Raising the rhetoric, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for "bold and daring" action to foil Iran's nuclear ambitions, committing to emulate the measures taken by his party's founder against Iraq if voted to power.

"The Iranian threat is an existential one as it is a country that declared its plans to destroy Israel and is developing the tools to carry out this destruction", Netanyahu told Israel Radio.

Citing Israel's 1981 air strike on the Iraqi nuclear facility in Osirak during Likud leader Menachem Begin's regime, Netanyahu told the Radio that Jerusalem should do everything possible to prevent Iran from going nuclear. "In this regard, I will continue the legacy of Begin, who thwarted Iran's neighbour, Iraq, from acquiring nuclear weapons by adopting bold and daring measures. I believe that is what Israel needs to do," he said.

"This is the Israeli government's primary obligation. If it is not done by the current government, I plan to lead the next government to stop the Iranians," the contender to lead Likud party to polls said.

Netanyahu, a hardliner who resigned from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's government, said that "all actions necessary to prevent a situation in which Iran will threaten us with nuclear weapons" needs to be taken. If Sharon takes action to thwart the Iranian threat, he would enjoy "my full support, regardless of political considerations," he told the Radio
