U.S. to Spend $4M on Development of Russian Political System

The U.S. Congress’ House of Representatives has voted to provide Russian political parties $4 million within a new bill regulating allocations on foreign operations and financing of export.

The bill also provides $95 million for the so-called Democracy Foundation run by the State Department. $6,5 million will be spent on democracy programs in Iran and Syria. Venezuela will receive $2 million, and $1 million is to be spent on democratization of North Korea.

On the whole the U.S. will spend $20.9 billion on foreign operations in 2006. The bill is due to be approved by the Senate and signed by the U.S. President George W. Bush.

Looking past the fact that the USA seems to be buying power and influence, where can UKIP get a piece of this action.
