Mayor: Sever Thumbs of Graffiti Artists

I like graffiti. It is art in its own way. I live near a railroad and get to see a variety of it on the boxcars.

Something like that is beautiful.

I do hope the mayor is joking. Comparing graffiti to a "heinous crime" is a bit much.

I agree wholeheartedly, Graffiti is not art it is vandalism, defacing property by spray paint lowers the tone of an area and in effect this has an effect of making all but those with less than legal intentions avoid an area. What upstanding, economically active person would frequent an area which is full of "tags" and "street ""art""? The simpletons who carry out the graffiti have probably seem a programme about the Bronx in the 80s and are trying to transfer it to an English suburb. I say off with their thumbs, no! Their arms!

they should chop of the index thinger, then they cant use the spraycan again !!!

as for the greeny liking graffiti, that made me laugh...didnt know the greens were pro rusty tins on the verg and depletion of the ozone layer !!!
