Galloway was on Channel 4 news last night. It seems the money to his wife was after Mariam when she started her own research project.
He made much of the fact that they are now divorcing, which I don`t see the relevance of. He said, "I wasn`t my wife`s keeper". No but you do tend to discuss things like 150k when you are married, I thought. But he had a point about the US senator relying on evidence from Iraqis on capital charges who have been accused of cover ups for years by the US. On the other hand, are they really going to or expect to get their necks spared over something like this? I would have thought it difficult to prove that Galloway knowingly took oil for food money if indeed he did. Jon Snow did his usual barmy interviewing, implying that Galloway`s committee appearance was so dramatic that it was now a collossal personal struggle. Galloway is surely not that important. is party is a one man outfit. Still, Bliar would probably laugh til his trousers fell down if he got sent down. Do you think it`ll be Guantanimo Bay if he is? |
