A group of small EU countries are seeking to water down some of the key proposals agreed last week by G8 leaders in Gleneagles, leaked documents have revealed.
The documents, which were obtained by the Jubilee Debt Campaign group, showed that Belgium was leading an initiative that would make it more difficult for 18 of the world's poorest countries to be granted 100% debt relief.
But Britain yesterday warned its European partners that they face a "moral" obligation to stand by commitments to cancel the debt of some of the world's poorest countries.

Funny how solidarity (I'm begining to hate that word, it's being overused), disapears out of the window so quickly. Notice how countries at the core of the EU are going against it.
Another reason to cut ourselves loose.
