Default UK may ban PIA flights over human smuggling

http://www.gulf-times.com/site/topic...1&parent_id=23

Quote:
ISLAMABAD: Britain could ban flights of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) if a memorandum of understanding on “managed immigration of illegal Pakistanis” was not signed immediately.

It is learnt that during the last cabinet meeting, Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao and Secretary Syed Kamal Shah had warned Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz that the UK could prohibit PIA flights if the “required” accord was not inked.

Aziz was told that if the UK showed leniency towards banning PIA, even then the delayed signing of the MoU was pregnant with grave implications - the deportation of illegal Pakistanis, for instance
Well it looks like a clamp don eon ex-EU countries is happening on immigration anyway. Still unsure why EU immigrants are good for our economy and add to the UK economy, while ex-EU immigrants are not wanted and must be stopped at all costs.

Anyone care to explain?

Your question is clearly rhetorical, but I'll answer for the sake of the thread anyway!
Uncontrolled immigration is clearly acknowledged as bad for the British economy and so steps are taken to control it where possible.
Free movement within the EU is a politically motivated attempt to destroy national identities and cultures on the way to an irriversible European Superstate, so the economy is to be sacrificed for the higher goal.

I don't disagree with what you say SGK.

I just wonder how people accept that EU mass/uncontrolled immigration = O.K. Any other immigration = bad.

It's Lib Dem policy, so perhaps a Libby Dem could come and explain it to us here?
