Default 1st case, death traced to mad cow disease

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/n...ck=1&cset=true

Quote:
TOKYO, JAPAN -- Japan's first human case linked to mad cow disease was probably contracted during a monthlong visit to Britain in 1989, authorities said Friday.
It was "highly likely" that the man, who was not identified, may have eaten contaminated meat during his stay in Britain, where most such human infections have occurred, said Masahito Yamada, an expert from a Health Ministry panel on the disease.

How do they get away with this ****? Some guy just so happens to have eaten a bit of mad cow and has got the disease. Meanwhile Britain is not having any kind of adverse effects beyond historical norms. What a load of balona.

The use of the words “highly likely” and “may” and “most”, speaks for itself. What they really mean is we don’t know were he contracted the disease, so why don’t they just say that.

Because they don't want panic in Japan. Much easier to blame it on the foreigners.
