Socialists scorn Barroso's liberal stance on Europe

His suspicions are unlikely to have been allayed by Peter Mandelson, the British EU trade commissioner, who said: "Barroso is proposing a programme for Europe that we would describe as "New Labour" in Britain.

I love the way New Labour is being held up for the reason for British success. Labour didn't do anything to make Britain what it is today, they have done nothing but make things worse, they inherited an improving econmony and are trying to take all the credit!

The good news is there are real signs now that the EU is going to fall apart. The sooner it does, the less pain for everyone involved. The Ultra Socilists and Commies still want to create a fortress Europe. They have not learned that Chinas people are in the main peasants, or the Soviet Union or any other artificialy protectionist state.
