Default Half of Irish people unaware of proposed EU constitution

http://212.2.162.45/news/story.asp?j...yx&n=131729064

Quote:
Almost half the Irish population have never heard of the proposed EU constitution, according to a Eurobarometer opinion poll published today.

One-third of the 25,000 Europeans questioned as part of the poll said they were unaware of the document, but this figure was 45% among Irish respondents.
Like a hooked little crack addict, Ireland either doesn't care, or is so high on subsidies that they can't see what they are selling themselves into. When the handouts dry up, there will be trouble.

Nothing against the Irish. They were sucked in and taken in with free gifts. All their roads built for them, lots of subsadised business brought in. Who would want to turn all that down, it's not the same for us, as we pay rather than recieve.

Even Ireland will learn that the final price to pay will be too high. Selling your soul for a quick fix never works. Ireland did well to get in at the start, while Britains cash was being handed out free and easy. There are more mouths to feed now and Britain isn't going to be quite so willing to keep it's own kids and pensioners in poverty for the benefit of others.

The EU will collapse sooner rather than later. We have to make sure we suffer the minimal amount of pain from this.
