EU asked to protect film heritage

Seriously, what has the EU got to do with films? If they want to protect their heritage, tehn they should do it themselves. I would't expect to pay taxes to protect disney, the same applies to any other film maker.

Sure weren't cultural though, but I'll admit some bits must have required significant research.
