Default why pay them

Quote:
Can the EU overrule Parliament and the British government?

Ans = Yes in certain circumstances.

That says it all.

There's no answer to that is there.

We are paying politicians for WHAT?

Taken from the summary of this disgustingly biased EU propaganda.

Quote:
The EU Constitution would:
 make the EU simpler to understand, with the Union’s main
treaties reorganised INTO phpbb_a single document and a clearer
definition of the EU’s powers;
Clearer to whom? Anyone who has seen this rambling wodge of wooly tedium, would realise it is anything but clear. Britain would try to interprete it to the letter, while everywhere else pick on chooses what they want! It is bad for Britian is the only clear point I can see.

Quote:
 involve national parliaments much more in the EU’s
debates;
A damning admission that the whole thing has been built up so far WITHOUT the proper involvement of parliaments. It's like trying to shut the stable door after the horse has bolted!

Quote:
 modernise the EU’s institutions and streamline its
decision-making;
Seriously, how does this massive bulk of rubbish do that. The only thing it does do is give more lip-service to the EU being a legitimate power, ruling over the whole of Europe, including Britain!

Quote:
 establish rules that should serve as the foundation of the
EU’s work for many years; ensure the EU remains flexible
enough to work with 25 members, and more in the future.
Silly me, I always thought the foundations of anything should be put in first, not 25 years down the line! House of cards springs to mind, it will collapse sooner or later!

Fantastic. Just when the some in the media had started to write UKIP off due to our leadership wrangles, the FCO publishes this rousing document reminding everyone why voting UKIP is the only possible choice for people who care about democracy.
