EU won't send electoral observers to Iraq

Sorry, but this smacks of trying to rub the Americans nose in it to me. I was against the war more than most, but the bottom line is it happened and now there will be elections.

If the EU really was interested in democracy, like it says it is, then they would be doing all they could to help make sure the elections have some legitamacy.

The reality is they want the situation to stay bad, so that America suffers. The EU going in and making sure the elections are fair, would help the Iraqi people have confidence in their new government. The fact they are turning their backs on them like this, especially as it is out of petty hate of the US, is apalling.

I haven't blamed the EU for staying out of it so far, I wish Britain had, but at some point the Iraqi people have to be put first!

Are we(at the moment) not members of that european club?

We as a party could send some mep's to be observers.

Actually I dont think Ive got anything on that day so if you would like to donate I or even we, could go out as A European Citizen/s (only for the day) and observe. Wave the blue flag ect.

When I/we return I/we could change back INTO phpbb_a British citizen/s.

Yes I know its nice and sunny over in Iraq, and sometimes it may be a bit blowy in the desert. Im sure it could grow on you sand, sun and camels. 8)
