Its not nice is it.
When you got a delivery to do at 3,4,5,6 in the morning You have to wring the neck of your van to get the job Done. Everybody wants it delivered now. I think if we change the road signs to KPH and leave the speedo at MPH that will solve the problem.... My van only does 95 kph anyway!!! ops: |

The worry of this and the banning of LGVs from being in an overtaking lane will mean more bunch ups and it will be impossible enter the motorway.
It is common for a vehicle to move INTO phpbb_the 1st overtaking lane when seeing a vehicle about to enter the carriageway. If your van is not going as fast as the other traffic you will not want to risk causing an accident thus forcing the vehicle entering to either stop or go onto the hard shoulder. With LGVs they will not be able to move over anyway and a line of say, 5 or 6 LGVs one behind the other is an impenetrable wall. Someone in a car attempting to enter the space between 2 LGVs would be either very brave or very foolish. I predict a lot of problems, some rather dangerous. |
