Default Enlarged EU faces threat of breaking up: Barroso (Good!)

http://www.turkishpress.com/news.asp?ID=34612

Quote:
LISBON, Dec 4 (AFP) - The enlarged European Union faces the risk of breaking up, the new head of the European Commission Jose Manuel Durao Barroso warned in an interview published Saturday, adding that he was worried at threats from populist parties on the left and right.
As usual they try to make out this is a lef or right wing issue. People across the board are waking up to this con. The sooner it does fall to bits, the less painful it will be for everyone!

Quote:
Barroso said he was worried "by certain populist parties on the left and the right ... which try to make Europe responsible for the incompetence or inadequacy of a particular country."
I guess he doesn't mean us then, as we fully agree that this our current government is incompetent. The EU is ten times worse though, no make that one hundred times worse.

try to make Europe responsible
I think that all criticism is directed at the EU, not "Europe". Delusions of grandeur I fear.
